UGH UGH UGH.

Last month (at the five month mark) I sent an e-mail to VSC in follow up to a service request I placed. I received an e-mail saying that if I had not received a decision or further notice by April 5, 2011, that my case would be processed expeditiously as ONTP (outside normal processing time).

The last few weeks I have waited in agony for April 5 to arrive.

Today, I woke up early, and after seeing no further notice on my case, called USCIS.

I got the BIGGEST **** tier two officer. I won't publically shame him, but if you ever speak to an "Officer W" hang up immediately. he will be of no help and only make you cry and want to hit your head against the wall. I told him I received this e-mail and was requesting the expeditious processing. He told me there are STILL 24 DAYS LEFT BEFORE MY case is ONTP. #######? Are you for real? So I said "So, you are telling me that I have to wait until SEVEN months have passed before you can do anything"? He showed NO sympathy and was willing to do NOTHING. The last two times I have called, I had very friendly, sweet (asian sounding) ISOs.

This guy started to get ANGRY at me over the phone. Aren't customer service people supposed to be nice? I would have liked to complain to his manager. He basically patronized me and told me I've put in THREE service requests already, and he can't do anymore. Which is a lie - I only put in the one. Yes, I called other times to follow up but only the one.

So now I am miserable, sad, angry. I am seeing my fiance next week, which is great, but I had hoped to have some good news to bring him. Now all I have is more sadness and unertainty.

PS: My Congressman's Aide is also following up.................she said she would "send an e-mail" today. She was told the same thing last month when I contacted her, that we had to April 5. Who knows when/if she will hear anything though. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets the same pushback as me.

Same thing happened to us yesterday. But we called again for another Immigration officer.

It was a friendlier version of what the first one Said. Sorry your not alone on this one though it is frustrating

But you have an email stating that particular thing, that shud help you along the way. Confront the next Officer with that email...

I personally very much dislike what VSC s doing to such "sensitive" petitions filed by USC like i-129f. 5 months is long enough, so i know how frustrated it gets. whoever says "the longer the beter, test to relationships and love blah blah blah".true partly but people arent made of iron, they have feelings and emotions, and other everyday life while u are soo far away. I see u ve done soo much to get their attention already, tht I just may say they put a wall right now to all those inquires coming from filers.

My boyfriend was able to put a service request only when we were at 6 months, 1 week and couple days. the very next Monday we have received noa2 dated the day before he put the service request. he even joked about it that he wasted 15 minutes of his life doing service request on a petition which was approved already. It means they have approved it without additional action, but when the "time" came. So 6 months 1 week is approximate waiting time they have right now.. I have signed for updates of somewhat 30 petitions with my noa1 date Sept 15th. in a week all of those were cleared and there are 2 still awaiting action. I mean once they take the box its done, but u gotta wait some more regardless, thats just the way it is. Best of luck !!!!

Grrr, our timeline almost mirrors yours. I received a letter back from my Congressman's office from VSC stating that if we dont' hear something by 15 April then we can contac them AGAIN as our case will be ONPT. You post definitely does not give me much hope either. We too are so stressed, aggitated and hopeless. We have so many thngs on the line at the moment (Job offer that he may not be able to take it this process is held up much longer). :-( 5 almos6 6 months is LONG enough already....

I hope you have better luck than we have thus far...Hang in there.

Hey, I saw your post. In case you didnt know there is a VSC forum for October filers here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/277522-october-2010-k1-filers/page__st__405

I knew literally the day I would get my NOA2 by looking at people in my forum and seeing ones with NOA1 right before me getting approved. I suggest you do the same, find people in this forum w/ NOA1s a couple days before you and add them as friends. Check their profiles every other day and you will know when yours should be coming.

Good luck!

Monyfer,

I just want to say we are stuck in a waiting game as well...but don't feel too frustrated! Look at what C_Maria is going through in Juarez right now! The new appointment process is a giant mess & they have been stuck waiting there, in JUAREZ yuck not fun, plus expensive wait! They are 3 weeks in a hotel spending & spending & still no visa delivery. I believe they have been approved but the new process is such a mess papers are not going where they need to go!

Maybe your NOA2 (like ours) being delayed is a blessing in diguise!

I hope Juarez works out all the bugs before we end up in Juarez...and maybe we will meet you at La Quinta when we do go!

Hang on there is light at the end of the tunnel,

Kim
