Does the household member (I-864A) need to attend the AOS interview?

Hello Visa Journey Community -

We are so excited for our AOS interview on April 15th! When we applied, we asked my father to fill out a I-864A as a household member in order to meet the minimum income requirements. Does the household member also need to attend the interview? He doesn't mind going, but I don't want him to waste half a day in the Santa Ana office if he doesn't have to.

Thanks! Do we need to bring all the documents that went along with his I-864A like his 3 years of personal tax returns and 3 years worth of corporate tax returns, employment letter, bank statements, mortgage statement, house valuation, etc.?

If you sent copies, then yes - bring the originals. They may not ask to see them, but they might.
