I've received my Credential Evaluation and Authentication Report From WES (World Education System), and to my wonder, I see that They gave my Master in Architecture a Bachelor Equivalency!

In my understanding of what is explained in their "Credential Evaluation Report" brochure: ... the bachelor's degree requires 120-136 semester credits, completed over 3-4 years. I have 154 credits over 5 years.

In the same brochure they say "…Master's Degree is a post baccalaureate degree in a specific field, awarded on the basis of completion of coursework(usually 1-3 years of study) and often a written thesis or project."

In Italy, the Architectural Universities had 5 different specializing fields Programs: Urbanism, Architectural Project, Industrial Design, Architectural Restoration, and History of Architecture. Whoever wanted to achieve the specialization in one of those fields, had to achieve high scores in a list of exams included for those specific Programs. I got two specializations in Urbanism and Architectural Design. Besides, after I had successfully completed all exams, I had to go through a thesis that took me more than 1 year.

they put my Thesis at the end of the list of courses to make it look like an additional course instead as a completion of my 2 specializations. I can't understand Why?

I sent a couple of e-mail without any response, has anybody had a similar issue and have any advice for me?

It would be appreciated!

I guess you better go to the folks at WES and ask what their reasoning was.

This is a pretty obscure topic which not many VJ members are likely to be helpful with.

Maybe an educational forum for Italian immigrants would be more appropriate.

You'd probably get a better response in the Italy regional forum.

I've moved this thread from Off Topic to the Europe & Eurasian Regional Forum as a more useful location for this discussion.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
