Ok, I maybe stressing for nothing, but has anyone made a drastic hair color change since the issuance of their passport? I had dark brown hair when my passport was issued, now i have a blondish brown color. BTW, I like my new color, but will that cause concerns when entering a another country? Would this cause issues when traveling through NYC to Paris to Casablanca? I also lost thirty pounds since it was issued.

Please advise.

I would like to know also. My 21 year-old stepdaughter changes her hair color weekly. She used to be a natural blonde with long, California cheerleader-like hair. Currently she looks like Elvira's younger sister with black hair and a makeup that makes me check my gun in the dark. Should she apply for a new passport on a weekly or bi-weekly basis or do you think that's not necessary?

What exactly does the Constitution say regarding hair color and style anyway?

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

I had brown hair the first time I went, and blonde hair the second. Plus, I think I gained about 25 pounds from eating the food there all summer. They didn't seem to notice!star_smile.gif

Thank you. I think that the stress of the refusal of my husband's visa actually caused me to lose the weight that I lost since February, 2011.

I finally got my son's passport today. I have been having a very hard with receiving my marriage cert/translation from Morocco. i called the passport office and a women sopke to her supervisor anad since I just recently changed my name on my passport to that of my husbands, they had that all recorded and approved his passport.

I have one question: Would anyone recommend me taking any addiional civil documents when travel with my son since our last names are different?

Yes, I would carry the son's birth certificate and evidence you are the named mother. A marriage certificate showing the mother married a man with your current last name should do. Also, depending on which country you're leaving, you'll need the other parent's written permission. This varies, so check it out.

Ok thank you. I have a list of things that I will take with me when traveling to Morocco with my son. Is this comphrehensive enough?

1. My old passport that has my maiden name, same as my sons

2. Curent passport for me and my son.

3. My son's birth certificate showing both parents name.

4. My marriage certificate/translation in case I am asked for proof of my name change in the US or in France.

5. My son's immunization records with current medications and allergies.

6. Notorized letter from his father giving me permission to travel internationally. This may be needed in Morocco.

Not sure what other documents that I may need to prove that I am his biological mother and custodial parent?

Is this enough for both traveling and medical treatment (if needed during our trip)?

Thanks for your advice in advance.

Should be plenty. The old passport is a good addition.
