Hey all,

I don't know if anyone has had this problem, but my banks are not able to show how much I have deposited for the previous year. I can ask them to put the day I opened the account and the types of accounts I have and the amount in them, but they can not show how much I have deposited for the year. Is that a problem or should I just use bank statements in that area? I know it asks for the amount deposited, the date opened and the type on the instructions form, but what if it can't be determined because the bank can't figure it out? Is that going to be a problem?

I was also wondering about the AOS. I know it takes the I-864, does that form require the same things that the I-134 require? Is there anything that is different that is needed for the I-864. Just curious because I want to make all the copies I need if its the same as the I-134 for the financial items.

If you make more then the minimum income for your household I wouldn't even worry about the bank statements. Same for the I-864.

I used to work in a US bank, and I doubt if there is such a statement that will show your total deposits in a year or in the previous year. Your bank deposits would vary from time to time, and the only way you could show your total deposits is to calculate them or ask for deposit check copies. that's based on my experience as a bank agent.

yes, a consular letter or reference letter will only show the date u opened the account, type of account and the amount that was posted on the account on the day u ordered a letter from them.

If u want to show the activity on your account, provide bank statements, u can have this through online or by calling the customer service of the bank.

and its true on the above comment that it's not really necessary to show bank statements when affidavit of support is more than enough.
