Evidence Question

We are still waiting on the NOA2, but I wanted to start getting the proof of continuing relationship evidence ready for the embassy interview and I had some questions.

First our chat logs. We use skype to chat back and forth, but I have not found a good way to print out the skype logs. IS it OK to just copy and paste them to a word document and then print them that way. This loses a lot of the color and the emoticons (like little hearts) that we send though.

Second is our emails. Besides talking on the phone, emails are the number one way we communicate and I have kept every single one. There are well over 1000 of them. The main thing I worry about the emails is that some of them contain content that I do not want someone else to read. Is it okay to copy this to a word document as well and cut out the parts I don’t think would be a good idea for someone to see. Or if it is better to print the email directly from the email window (I use hotmail) can I just click reply or forward and then edit the parts I do not want to include.

Also should I keep the emails that I send to her separate from the emails that she sends to me or should I just throw them all together.

Thanks.

Okay for your skype chat logs, you can click print screen and print it out. Do you do video calls? Try to capture that too. Thats what we did to ours.

For your emails, just choose and get 3-5 emails you exchanged for each month up to recent. If you copy and paste the emails to MS word, that wont hold justice. (you can easily create a convo just to show) so printing it directly through hotmail is the wisest idea.

On the emails, what I intend to do is to print the log of emails from gmail (it's just a list showing to/from and the subject line with the date sent) to show how many there are and how many years they span and pick out one a month or one a quarter to print out the actual email. That way I can pick out the ones I want, but also show them how many there are. Good luck with your journey.

thats a LOT of evidence KISH,at some embassies they take as much as it would fit in a paper bag

OP say you have been together,24 months, do screen shots of the chatlogs just to show the dates, choose a couple of random chatlogs, choose a couple of emails, like 24 of em ( since you have chatlogs you wont need that many emails ).

on and all,if you have a LOT of evidence, dont pay crazy amount of attention to one category like emails or phone logs or anything of that sort.

Print screen just captures the screen. You will need to open another application such as MS Paint or MS Word and paste (Control-V) the screen shot and then you can print it.

We have to send each other cards via regular mail (USPS).

Sometimes, I send package and have her picture taken next to the package.

Send money via Western Union.

Pasting the screen capture, I use Irfanview http://www.irfanview.com/

It allows you crop, resize picture and controls how you print the captured image.

For Skype we used Skype Call Exporter. It converts the call log to csv file. Easier. To show the duration of the call between us.
