Hello everyone, we got our NOA2 email on 1 April 2011, yeah I thought maybe it was a joke. Anyway its real. I work for the USAF as a civilian, I will move to Korea in June. My wife will come with me. I called USCIS about our situation and they said no problem, just call and tell them that your wife is now in Korea. I am not sure this is correct. I have been calling the Embassy in Korea, but havent been able to get through. I know I could get through NVC fairly quickly, but I am not sure I want to. Timing is a factor. If I get through to quickly my case will definitely be sent to Manila before my wife joins me and she will have to go through the process there before she can join me. That would be fine but I think it will be more difficult in Manila than Korea, just the reports I have heard. I know I can slow roll the process so the timing works, but I am not really sure I would get the intended outcome, interview in Korea. Is it possible to get the interview in Korea, even though my wife is a Philippine citizen?

I got our NOA2 on April 1st too, so I know about the feeling of a joke. I am not sure about the best course for you to take. Contacting your state Senator to slow roll might help to, as well as calling the NVC. Good Luck

'them', in this case, is NVC - not the Embassy.

You'll have to pester NVC to get the casefile rehomed to Korea, but it is do-able - will take persistence and some multiple phone calls.
