Hello, I was searching on the Egypt US Embassy Website and came upon this information about paying visa application fee's. Hany called the (CIB)The Commercial International Bank (4/2/11) and they told him the fee was ( 790LE) approx. $133 And he should bring his Passport and the Package 3 Cover Sheet ( it has the case number on it) My understanding of this is the $133 is deducted from the $350 and the remaining $217 is paid at the Embassy the day of your interview appointment....The website address is www.cibeg.com for locations and the phone number is 19666 for information....I wanted everyone to take a look at this. Thanks

thats not correct the website says

"All applicants applying for treaty investor visas (E2) and fiancée visas (K) should pay the entire fee at the Embassy during the time of their interviews."

payment at the CIB branch is only for non-immigrant visas except E2 and K. you should have him call the embassy for more clarification

The CIB told him they accept the Visa Application Fee for the US Embassy and for him to bring 790LE, his passport and packet 3 Cover Sheet. No reason the bank would have told him wrong. Hany said he will call the embassy to clarify. Then I will post the response.

Hello, I received an email response from the US Embassy about paying the K1 Visa Application Fee's. The phone call Hany made to them was different from the email response but at least we now know we must pay at CIB.

Subject: Inquiring about visa fee's

Hello, K1 Visa, I see the Visa Application Fee is now $350.00. My question is "Do I pay this fee at the time of the interview"? (OR) "Do I pay a percentage of it at The Commercial International Bank"? And if it is paid at the CIB how much do I pay there?

Thank You So Much for Your Time, Kim

Please note that you will need to pay an amount of 150 US Dollars at the CIB bank and an amount of 200 US Dollars at our office at the time of the interview.

Regards,Consular Section US Embassy Cairo ES
