It's funny really. Not one of those cities is in the south.

The liberals who follow the Dems up north have no idea what the hell they are talking about. Yankeeville USA though is and has been for a very long time the breeding ground for racism/segregation. So many are too blind to understand this.

Come and live down here, live in the south and you'll know what I mean. Sure, there are 'black neighborhoods' in some areas, but they are small. Most neighborhoods/areas are very well mixed. You can see this driving down the road or stepping out of your car.

The funny part being as well, we don't worry much about walking through certain neighborhoods at night much either. There are some fishy ones, sure, but none that you're 'worried' about.

This is what happens when people think in only 2 dimensions. They miss out everything else that is otherwise called reality.

Fill us in on what we are missing.

Paul, I grew upo in Texas and it is a bit different than "the south" in general but it is more segregated than it may appear, at least in terms of where people LIVE. Where they are during the day is not the same as where they are at night. There are not many whites in Oak Cliff or Freedman's town and about -0- blacks in Highland Park. I also spent a lot of time in Mobile and that city is about as segregated as possible in the absence of laws requiring it.

Then again, how many blacks live in Evanston, IL or Cambridge MA? Fact is the whole country is fairly well segregated even in the absence of laws. I ncome cases this is because people prefer it that way. In others it is because the white liberals in Evanston offer to provide free housing for blacks on the east side of the Dan Ryan Expy, south of 35th street. Imagine that.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Right around the national average as well. This happens when you let political hackery and idiotic generalization overshadow fact.

I think the discussion is not about the racial diversity of a particular area, but whether the races are concentrated into separate neighborhoods within that area.

Now if its a segregation thing- think of it more as a $ thing. And Big $ tends to vote a certain way quite different than the hogwash being peddled around here.

It gets real obvious on Google Earth, especially in the third world. You can see gated communities with paved streets and landscaping surround by nearby slums that live off their refuse.

Saint Louis is listed at No.7 and I'd say its very much middle of the road. Can you determine racism based on where people live by the way?

I wouldn't call it racism but when people choose to pay more to live in neighborhoods which are similar except for the race of those living there... what would you call it?
