Our interview went off without a hitch. We got there first in line, C1 on our ticket. Ended up being the last to leave still though, I don't really understand that.

I was hoping to be out by 9, but it was 11:30 or so when we finally left. Kids weren't to excited about that.

Interview was her asking the kids how they felt about moving to Texas, asking my wife how long I worked at my current job (weird question since I didn't even remember when I started very well) and me standing in background while she punched numbers.

She asked about my wife's 2 year stay in Texas which we figured would be reason enough for them to deny us, but all they asked was if we had any problems with the border and if she had been ordered to leave via immigration judge.

I even brought my research on Duration of Stay visa's and the memo to Montreal regarding them, but didn't need them, or any proof of the marriage.

Glad its over with, now we just get to sit and wait for our visa's to be delivered. I hope to drive up and pick them up on the 28th, hoping thats enough time to get them delivered.

Welcome :)

And remember, priority dates for IR-1/CR-1 visas mean nothing. Priority dates are only important for those applying for a visa that have a limited number per year.

Grats on the case complete!

In a few days or a few weeks (I don't know the wait time for Bulgaria), you'll receive from NVC an email detailing the date and time of your interview. You'll then have to go to a panel physician in Bulgaria and get a medical done. You then bring those medical results, as well as everything else you need for the interview, with you to the consulate/embassy for your interview. You'll hand in all necessary forms/documents and be questioned. How hard or easy it is varies by consulate/embassy. It could last 5 minutes and only be a question or two (like in Montreal, Canada) or it could be longer.

You mean fill? And no you don't. NVC will send all your forms to Bulgaria for your interview.

You just need to bring:

-passport pictures

-interview letter

-passport

-medical results

-evidence of your relationship

And I'd also suggest bringing a copy of EVERYTHING you've sent in so far (I-130, I-864, DS-230), just in case.

Bring whatever evidence you have. Again, I don't know how hard your embassy is. Montreal was (and still is) super easy and usually never asks to see evidence. Other embassies and consulates though demand to see evidence. When compiling stuff for my interview, I just kept thinking that I'd rather be safe than sorry.

So I haven't posted on this thread for a while. Since I have been obsessed with a MENA thread. We are still waiting for our interview date since completion on April 5, 2011. Lucky us Egypt had a revolution, its Cairo Embassy closed for a few months and now has a nice long back log. God willing we will know something tomorrow. Started to see a pattern two months ago. Looks like tomorrow is the day, for people who are up should get emails from the NVC. Praying that we get one too. :innocent:
