I suggest a letter of attestation about the missing tax year.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Thanks, I was thinking the same, to write a letter. Also, my tax forms and pay stubs are in the name before I changed my name to my husbands. I have both social security cards with the same number and both names. Do you think making a copy of these and also explaining why the names do not match might be a good idea, or do you think this is not necessary since they might not create and issue with this since they know I recently got my name changed?

Not much to add for my case lately.

NVC completed our case last Wednesday, and their automated voice system still says 'completed'. I was hoping it would have been posted to the UK Embassy by now. I rang and spoke to a lady yesterday who went into the script 'second week of every month' when arranging the interviews.

Frustrating! Maybe we'll hear something next week, fingers crossed!

Yeah that's the number; depending when you call, it can take awhile to get through. I found the best time to call was 5pm EST, I got through instantly to an operator, or it was max 5 minute wait.

The one day I tried calling during the morning, I actually got a busy signal for about an hour. The rest of the time I've called 7 pm EST or later, and have gotten right through to an operator, no waiting.

Holding my nose and jumping off the cliff.. hope I don't hit any rocks in the water.

filling out the I-864

just wondering. i've been living here in the Philippines with my wife and child for almost 3 years now. i wouldn't lie on it obviously so mailing address is my U.S. address, Residence is here in PI and domicile i put philippines.

would it raise any flags? would they ask me why i didn't file for DCF. would i need to prove domicile? i did file taxes the past 3 years plus i can get a rental agreement.

i have a co-sponsor so that part is covered since my I-864 is zero.
