Thank you from us too Saylin. Saylin is our guiding light!

Waiting for NVC with documents ready. Getting ready for medical exam. Hoping to get there by June - probably gonna do it in Toronto coz its closer from home in NYC. Our consulate is gonna be Montreal.

My wife does not have her immunization records. We went to USCIS designated civil surgeon in NY and got the antibody titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella.

What were the vaccines given during the medical for an adult 28 yr old?

Is there anything else we need to get done or have ready before the medical exam? Should we get PPD tested too? How many days does it take for the medical exam process? Need to plan in ahead to take days off from work to go with wife for the exam.

Best of luck to all and wish you a short speedy journey through NVC, Medical, Interview, POE!!!

For the medical, these are the required vaccines for someone between 18-64: http://www.panelphys.../Pages/Age6.htm

It only takes 2-3 hours for the medical. Then you have to return a few business days later to pick the results up.

If you want, I wrote up a review yesterday of my medical that you could read on my blog. It might not be exactly the same as when you will get yours (since you said you're going to do yours in Toronto), but it can give you an idea of what to expect. A government shutdown equals no visa's to be issued!!!

Only IF there's a government shutdown, and IF they close the US embassies or consulates.

OK PEEPS -

it's the 7th of the Month -

Two things to do today

1. check on status of scheduling for yer interview and

2. Post yer favorite recipe for yer favorite comfort food !!!

Alrighty ! EP acceptance done !

[NVC Computer now looking for yer stuff]

SO - SEND IN ALL AGAIN, today. Costs nothing, you've already got it, even the barcoded coversheets, so why not?

You gotta play with the DS-260 anyway - so why not send in more stuff today for EP ?? I beg of you - slam some more email !!!!

(EP ROCKS ! It's NVC that sucks! )

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

UGHHHHH I'm so frustrated!!!!!!!!

Back to the co-sponsor question. So my dad is my cosponsor. He, alone, makes enough for the requirements. BUT now I'm having issues with the I-864 that I am having him fill out. Why? Because he filed JOINTLY with my mom. So it asks for CURRENT INDIVIDUAL ANNUAL INCOME. no prob. But then it asks for the last 3 tax returns TOTAL ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME from the 1040ez. Well obviously my parents didn't file the 1040EZ, so I assume they mean the same thing (adjusted gross income) on their 1040. But that number is based on the TOTAL between my parents and not just my dad's. So since I am reporting higher numbers, won't this conflict with the previous number of "CURRENT INDIVIDUAL ANNUAL INCOME?" If I just add my mom as an additional household member with income, then I have to turn around and file a I-184a which seems like a lot more work (and room for error) and unnecessary since my father's is perfectly fine. I also have his W-2's so I can validate the INDIVIDUAL INCOME part.

Or should I just plug in the correct (joint) tax numbers no matter what, and let the paystubs and tax returns speak for themselves??

What a pain in the #######!!!!

You are right Darnell, EP rocks, NVC not so much, a little better than TSC tho. Spoke with my husband and we decided to resend the docs again. Doesn't hurt. :star:

IF there's a government shutdown, they WILL stop working on the visas, applications, etc. They are NOT considered "essential personnel".

By the way.... I don't like it when people give information by "shooting from the hip" so... all those who would like a little more "proof" about the Immigration process IF we have a Government shutdown.... HERE is some proof... directly from the State Department. I sure hope they figure it out tho. Also.... the tax deadline will still be April 18th... we don't get a break on that :bonk:

OK so just now confused on this part:

25. Federal income tax return information.

I have filed a Federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years. I have attached the required photocopy or transcript of my Federal tax return for only the most recent tax year.

(Optional) I have attached photocopies or transcripts of my Federal tax returns for my second and third most recent tax years.

I filed in 2008 and 2010, but not in 2009 because I made no money,so would i still check that box stating I filed for the 3most recent tax years/ like i said, I am full time student working only part time, most income is coming from my cosponsor and he has all information for all 3 years...
