Thanks and even if I don't get the interview date in the beginning of July I just want to get out of this NVC blackhole. I saw a nighmare last night. Apparently I had called the NVC AVR in my nightmare and I heard a recording that my petition was denied completely. USCIS apparently had canceled my petiton and I tried talking to a human and the number was out of service and I couldn't get a hold of anyone and was going nuts. I was sooo glad to wake up in the middle of the night lol. And its sooo rare that I wake up in the middle of the night from a nightmare. This journey is really taking a toll on our lives.

So sorry to hear all the trouble this NVC stage is giving you. I tried to understand how they function thinking it would calm me down but it just doesn't. Thier inconsistencies are too many. Just hang in there, your case will be closed soon

I have been married five years and only last year could my husband file for me so i am experienced in unending patience and just know the end is always going to be worth all this trouble now. Good luck!

Thanks everyone, the frustration just keeps building up. And that 20 day waiting BS is nothing but BS. Even though one of my packets that I had sent passed the 20 day mark they just keep telling me that they will have a supervisor to take a look at it. I hope they look at it tomorrow cause I really don't want to wait another weekend of uncertainty. If I don't hear anything tomorrow than I will give NVC one more week to finish up my case and if I don't get a CC than I will contact my congressman. And re-re-re-sending packages are not going to get anywhere if they are not going to look at them!

Can you call them and ask them if you can just overnight the packages? I'm just not sure if they have a really good system yet for their electronic sending of documents....idk if that's an option or if it would delay further but i know i sent mine on april 18th and the case was closed may 3rd. Makes you wonder if hardcopy isnt better at times for sure :S sorry for all the trouble :(

I will agree with KimSue, NVC is a lot more stressful than USCIS was. At least at USCIS, you just waited for your turn.

All my documents have been at NVC since middle of April and I continue to receive false RFE emails that they don't have all my documents. Very frustrating, which is a nice way to put it without cussing.

The standard answer from NVC operators of waiting 20 days is getting old very fast.

Get your stuff together NVC.

-Fahed

I got that false RFE for about 5 straight days before they located my AOS package and put it in the system and matched it with the DS 230... it shouldnt take too much more time...and yeah NVC is stressful lol cos you do SOOOO MUCH SOOO FAST :P

I thought EP would have been faster since it saves time mailing and scanning but I now believe that sending by mail would have been faster. They need more time to be more efficient with EP. Right now since I already started the process, sending them mail is not an option anymore. They already have my AOS and I got an RFE for it that I replied to it on May 2nd. So I need to wait it out.

If I am not mistaking money orders take a long time like 2 weeks. Sending electronically is the fastest way (only couple of days). You just have to wait a few more days I'm sorry.

It takes long cause they at least wait a week after depositing to make sure there is no stop payment issued on the money order. So if you haven't sent the IV payment than I suggest you do it using your bank info.

I tell ya, It's becoming mind torture! I called again today and this time they tell me they have no record of my DS-260! Augh! At least the last person I talked to acknowledged they had all the documents! It's certainly not a consistent process. They also told me that since the AOS was submitted separate from the DS-260, I would automatically get an RFE for the AOS, but is considered a false RFE since in reality they do have it,,,just needs to get married-up! Clear as mud, huh!?

It would just be nice if they could emphatically say that "YES...We have all the necessary documents to process your case and it is still in review"! Unfortunately...I'm stuck in limbo-land not knowing for sure if they have all required details to proceed, Man! Am I ranting...?? Ha ha :o

I called twice yesterday and got 2 different answers. The first operator told me that my IV documents were there and had been reviewed and it was fine. I was sooo glad to hear that. She said the RFE for the AOS that I had sent on May 2nd was not in the system yet. I said OK I will give them one more week and that was that. Couple of hours later I called again. I apologized to the operator for calling twice in one day and told her how I was getting different answers from operators each time I called. She laughed at that and put me on hold to read all the notes on her screen. She came back 3-4 minutes later and said that nothing was in the system yet. I told her how the last operator told me that the IV documents were reviewed. She was puzzled why the previous operator had told me that. She told me to re e-mail everything again. I asked if I could e-mail a supervisor but she said that is not possible and that every e-mail had to go through nvcelectronic@state.gov. She told me to write and explain my situation in detail and to send it to nvcelectronic@state.gov with the IV packet. So I went ahead and explained everything and wished for my mail to be forwarded to a supervisor. I included both of my packages in the same e-mail. I even explained about my situation with the CSC to TSC transfer and how NVC was made aware of the cases that were suppose to get a fast track through NVC. I just went all out. I went ahead and also forwarded that mail to nvcinquiry@state.gov ATTN: SUPPERVISOR. As I was hoping a human would reply from Serco contractor to my e-mail(s) but to my luck this time I get an auto reply from NVC to both e-mails. Well I hope I get some results in this coming week. I wish I had a supervisors e-mail at NVC to expalin my situation cause I can't get my file across on the phone. So talking to a supervisor on the phone is kind of useless in my case since they can't find the e-mails.

Wow, electronic processing kind of sounds like a pain in the ####. If NVC workers were technology literate, I'm sure having all this stuff electronic would be a vast improvement... but considering they don't even know what they are doing when you send in hard copies, it's scary to think how they deal with all these strange "e-mails" from the "internet"...

(Also wow... I just got censored using the tamest phrase I could think of.)

is there anyway a case can be expedited from NVC?

NVC does expedite but its mostly for medical emergencies. I don't want an expedite but them knowing I could have expideted for USCIS error will maybe make them look into my case sooner.

NVC Nightmare....!

Got case complete email, sign in fail on payment portal on May 16th.....AVR said case complete and called NVC and talked to an operator who confirmed case complete. Me and my wife were on cloud nine on May 16th.

May 17th, I called the NVC operator for an interview date. She tells me, after case complete during final documents review, they did not accept what I had submitted for my wife's unavailability of birth certificate and they are sending me an RFE.

Got the RFE in email and working on it now....!

RFE after case complete....! Grrrr.......! :bonk:
