We got our interview date- June 21!!! kicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gif

Wooohoooo, ONE day after the CC and we have an interview date assigned. June 17 in London. Yipeeee

Congrats to you on your interview dates. I spoke with an operator today and still no interview datye for. I saw they are scheduling canadian filers who had case complete in April so i know my interview date is some way off but will keep buggin them down till they give me a date :whistle:

It won't ever say 'accepted'. It just stays as 'complete'. The only way to know if it was accepted is either through the AVR, an operator tells you, or the IV bill appears.

Nice! They ARE fast! For all I know, my interview date was assigned the next day too... but I didn't call that day because I figured there was no way I'd already have a date.

USCIS – 171 days
08.03.2010: Sent I-130 (Received at Chicago Lockbox on 08.05.2010 – Priority Date)
08.24.2010: NOA1 – Notice Date (Case transferred from CSC to TSC on 11.02.2010 and back to CSC on 02.07.2011)
02.11.2011: NOA2 – Approved! (hard copy received on 02.17.2011)

NVC – 46 days
02.26.2011: Got NVC case number from AVR (entered on 02.24.2011)
02.28.2011: Called operator to give email addresses and get IIN; emailed beneficiary's change of address and DS-3032; received instruction emails from NVC; AOS fee bill invoiced and paid
03.01.2011: AOS fee shown as "paid"

yehey!! finally SIF. . .but my daughter unfortunately we called NVC and they will send us a freakin RFE for my 3year old daughter, apparently my husband should've filed an I864W for her since she is under 18 (she's 3yrs old). It's a little bit frustrating coz they send u an RFE one a freakin time! its time consuming. :angry: now, we gotta wait for the barcode checklist and send it again and wait again grrrrrrrr.......

Sorry to hear about your daughter's RFE. You actually dont have to wait for them to send you a barcode, just use the one you used the first time for her other docs, as long as it has her case number that is all they need. i did the same thing with no issues. Good luck. :thumbs:

hi again, i have an AOS related question. my husband's tax agency filed his tax return as single since im not there yet. will that be a problem?

I can't tell you if it's going to be a problem or not but I can tell you what I did. Because my husband and I have not lived together we barely have primary "proof" of bonafides of our marriage, such as lease in our names and whatnot, we do have tons of pics, letters, e-mails and such.. So I did my taxes for 2009 as "single" as I was advised to. Then I Amended my taxes for 2009 to change my filing status from single to married filing separetely. they sent me back a letter saying they amended my federal income tax return but the new filing status does not show on the letter, oh well.

For 2010 I wanted to do things right. I used the Married filing separately status and sent form w-7 on behalf on my husband. I got my refund, they didnt assign an ITIN number but now I have that letter from IRS with my husband's name on it and my federal tax returns to bring for my interview =D

p.s it used to be that you could put "NRA or non resident alien" in the Social security number slot for alien spouse now they require a SS or ITIN or in lieu of ITIN the W-7 form...

My 2 cents: They must see this all the time where spouse files as single since the spouse is not in the us yet

thanks for sharing your experience. :)NVC was fine with the ITR's we sent out. Hoping that I won't have any problems at the interview. But my brother-in-law who also petitioned for his wife he also filed his tax as single, hi's wife is in the states now. :) still, finger's crossed. im thinking of asking my husband to get some letter from the agency who did his tax but u know just thinking. . . :)

I filed head of household since i have small children but i made sure legally i could file this way prior to tax returns but i will amend it next year and i will be filing married this coming year as well...

05/20/2011 Medical Appt/passed
06/15/2011 Interview result AP
06/21/2011 Submitted requested docs..under review
07/25/2011 CO called did phone interview result: PENDING MANDATORY AP/CO told us they have to do namechecks

03/07/2013 Case returned to USCIS waiting for NOIR/reaffirmation

04/18/2013 USCIS received case for review

08/19/2013 Received NOIR to respond by 9/18/2013

9/9/2013 Responded to NOIR/USCIS received documents awaiting response
