I've tried searching for this answer, and it's kind of a dumb question about scanning documents, but I just wanted to make sure.

I wasn't going to do electronic processing, but decided to after all and have all of the photo copies of the civil documents. Does NVC require us to scan the photo copies? I know it's a silly question, but I'm thinking we don't need to do anything with photo copies of the civil documents.

Thanks in advance :)

Oh okay, wasn't aware they STILL needed photo copies even after receiving scanned files that they can print out lol. Thanks for letting me know :) We still have not received the AOS bill, the portal is saying that it has not been invoiced...I'm looking at other's timelines and it shows a day or two. Kind of want to get going with this already!! lol

Yes, you would think they can just print all the stuff out or store it electronically but nope  . Even if they do better safe than sorry. As for the payment portal a few people are still waiting for the AOS to be generated so just keep checking every hour or so. I would call an operator though if it is taking too long. :)

IV bill just appeared as PAID and IV Application/ DS-260 available to work on now.

Gonna submit DS260 today. When should I submit supporting docs for DS260 - right after I submit today or wait until they receive/ accept DS260 AND then submit the supporting docs???

You can submit the docs as soon as you get an OPTIN acceptance email or right away if you already had one. An operator told my husband to send both AOS and IV supporting documents in two different emails at the same time. There is no way you will know if they have accepted the DS260, just take your time and try to fill it out carefuly. Good luck. :)

Yes, at the time of the interview, you need to hand in both the original AOS and IV packages that you scanned and sent to them. Of course, they won't keep your birth or marriage certificate, but they will want to see them to verify.

IV bill just appeared as PAID and IV Application/ DS-260 available to work on now.

Gonna submit DS260 today. When should I submit supporting docs for DS260 - right after I submit today or wait until they receive/ accept DS260 AND then submit the supporting docs???

I submitted my IV package as soon as I finished sending in the DS-260, and if you have yours ready, I would suggest doing the same and sending it right away.

Grats on your NOA2! You should probably get your case number the first week of May.

We've been trying to pay the AOS bill that still have not been invoiced. Today, when I logged on the invoice portal, it showed a SIF. And I logged on the IV portal and it showed one application pending, but the AOS link has been deactivated (it was activated a few days ago) Is that normal? Did anyone have a SIF after a few days of seeing "not invoiced"?
