Wow, sounds like a rude and uninformative operator blink.gif Definitely call back again (once you've calmed down) and ask the same question with a different operator.

I did call back and spoke to a very courteous operator this time. She said there is absolutely nothing wrong with my AOS file and that the only checklist that shows up is to send in the IV packet (which they have already, but haven't reviewed). She also had no idea why the other operator told me that my parents weren't "household members" but that the definition appears to apply to them. This much I already knew since I printed out the federal regs in case I got into another unwanted argument... but it was nice to hear her agree with me.

She told me that no questions show up on my file and that I definitely do not need to send in another birth certificate because they have everything they need. I really, really hope this is true, but it's worrying because the only thing that leaves me to do it wait. I can't figure out why I received a checklist that doesn't show up in the system the next day... has this happened to anyone else? It came simultaneously with the IV checklist, maybe it was a mistake? Or maybe they actually read my e-mail and fixed it?

Fun times!

AOS bill appears PAID. Printed document cover sheet. Time to get I-864 package together in one PDF and email.

How long does IV bill take to appear?

My IV bill showed up 2 business days after I sent the Choice of Agent e-mail.

Concerning Mrs. Edward's RFE, what is the correct answer for question 30 on Form DS-230?

Should one just write the month and year for when the beneficiary turned 16 and then put present on the next line if they have lived in the same city from birth?

Fahed

I called the NVC before I redid the paperwork and they told me the month and year he turned 16 to PRESENT. They just received my new form today so I hope they accept it. When I talked to them on the phone I told him that he lived in the same place since he was born and they said the question states from age 16.

The DS-3032 (or in the case for Canadians, the DS-261) has to be accepted first before the IV bill appears. For my case, I submitted the DS-261 on a Thursday, and by the following Monday, the IV bill appeared. Has your AVR updated yet to say the Choice of Agent form was accepted?

My IV bill showed up 2 business days after I sent the Choice of Agent e-mail.

Submitted DS-261 on Friday and appears as "Completed" - does not say "Accepted"

See attached JPEG

Thanks.

It won't ever say 'accepted'. It just stays as 'complete'. The only way to know if it was accepted is either through the AVR, an operator tells you, or the IV bill appears.

I told her it was funny how I managed to find the time to wait for her to respond to my call...

Yes, I remember the AVR tell me that I was sent a checklist to complete ....and I was freaking out .... but, it was just telling me that I still needed to send in the IV Packet. Hopefully it's the same for you.
