02.11.2011: NOA2 – Approved! (hard copy received on 02.17.2011)

NVC – 46 days
02.26.2011: Got NVC case number from AVR (entered on 02.24.2011)
02.28.2011: Called operator to give email addresses and get IIN; emailed beneficiary's change of address and DS-3032; received instruction emails from NVC; AOS fee bill invoiced and paid
03.01.2011: AOS fee shown as "paid"
03.03.2011: DS-3032 accepted; beneficiary's address updated by NVC; IV fee bill invoiced and paid
03.07.2011: IV fee shown as "paid"; AOS and IV packets sent out together via USPS Priority Mail (delivered on 03.09.2011)

It won't ever say 'accepted'. It just stays as 'complete'. The only way to know if it was accepted is either through the AVR, an operator tells you, or the IV bill appears.

Had the medical completed last week while I was waiting and had a day off work. They did say they would contact me if there were any problems by friday so I take it Im all clear from them.

Is it considered too cheeky to call / email and ask for an ealrier interview date? there isnt any risk of losing my current one is there?

I don't think it would be cheeky, but it might just not be very likely that you'd be able to change it. I'm sure they wouldn't just cancel your current one without giving you a new one though (as long as you tell them not to!). It might be worth a shot, but May 17th is pretty good! I would personally just keep that and be happy with it.

The reason I asked about the medical is that I had been hearing that the embassy wouldn't schedule the interview without the medical results, but that is definitely NOT TRUE for CR-1 visas that were processed by the NVC because we got an interview and haven't done the medical.

Called NVC and got through to operator and got NVC case number, IIN & beneficiary number!!! :)

Tried to sign in and got the following message:

"Sign In Failed

•Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error."

Case received at NVC yesterday. Too early yet to sign in??? Anyone got this message?

Case received at NVC yesterday. Too early yet to sign in??? Anyone got this message?

It's just a little too early. I was able to sign in after I received an email from NVC giving me instructions to pay the AOS fee. You should be getting that soon! Did you give the operator your email addresses?

In preparation for medical - got wife to get MMR & varicella antibody titers from USCIS designated civil surgeon to prove immunity. Wife did not have immunization records.

Did that to avoid delays and unnecessary vaccinations during medical exam.

Finally an interview date!! It is set for May 4 (Wednesday) at 8am in Jakarta. I plan to fly there for the interview. Does anyone know how long it takes for my wife to get her visa if it is approved on the 4th of May? Maybe 2 days later on Friday? Do they mail it out or can she pick it up at the Embassy? I would like for her to fly back with me but it would be hard to arrange at this point.

CONGRATS... I'm not familiar with Jakarta... but... MOST embassies/consulates will mail you the passport and visa a few days after the interview.

Called NVC tonight. No interview yet. The lady said they're still doing a final review of my husband's case. Case was completed on October 13, 2010.

WOW... that is crazy. Have you contacted the Department of State (State Department)?

I just called and got my interview date for May 24th!!!

Too early, keep trying but don't expect anything for a couple of days.
