It won't ever say 'accepted'. It just stays as 'complete'. The only way to know if it was accepted is either through the AVR, an operator tells you, or the IV bill appears.

Ah, there is your problem. I too was getting a fast busy signal whenever I tried from my Magic Jack phone. I got suspicious after a day and tried from my cell phone, and bingo, I got connected in one try. I have tested several times since then, and I have never been able to connect with MJ, but works instantly from other phones. So, NVC does not like Magic Jack, may be because the number is blocked when using MJ.

Same here. I can't go through using my magicjack so I used google call (it's free) and there you go ;)

wonderful. garbage MJ then. i'm here in Philippines so now i have to spend to call NVC. can't use google call either since im here. :bonk:

Finally an interview date!! It is set for May 4 (Wednesday) at 8am in Jakarta. I plan to fly there for the interview. Does anyone know how long it takes for my wife to get her visa if it is approved on the 4th of May? Maybe 2 days later on Friday? Do they mail it out or can she pick it up at the Embassy? I would like for her to fly back with me but it would be hard to arrange at this point.

Called NVC tonight. No interview yet. The lady said they're still doing a final review of my husband's case. Case was completed on October 13, 2010.

I-130

12/22/09: I-130 receipt date (Sent by lawyer to CSC)

8/20:10: Approved/NOA2

9/03/10: NVC # generated, gave e-mail adds

9/08/10: Received IV/AOS fee bill

9/09/10: Paid AOS/IV

9/13/10: Mailed completed AOS, enetered into the system on 9/14

9/19/10: Mailed completed DS-230, entered into the system on 9/22

10/13/10: CASE COMPLETE!!!

04/06/11: Case upgraded from F2A to CR-1

05/03/11: Final review completed

05/17/11: Interview date scheduled!

05/20/11: Forwarded case to USEM

06/10/11: Interview - APPROVED!!!

what ? no magic jack? darn. y'all try google voice VOIP ? it's free, will ring yer MJ thingie, and you can configure it to 'show' the caller ID of the google voice account.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

i tried but since i'm using it from Philippines, it said i needed credits. maybe it recognized my IP address? not so sure.

Here's a question for the interview stage. I don't see many doing this because, obviously, we've waited so long to this point, why wait longer right?? But you get "assigned" an interview date in Montreal. But what if that date is very bad for you? Can you request a later interview? (a few weeks).

Yes, you can. Once you get an interview date scheduled, you can go online to where you would sign up for the DHL location for your visa to be sent and you can re-schedule online. But be careful, the next available date might be months away. What I would suggest, depending on your situation, go to the first interview assigned. You have up to 6 months to activate it. If you need longer than 6 months, you can simply just go to the border, activate it, and go back home till you're ready to move. I've seen a few people do this.

Its great to see most getting thier interviews dates. I can't imagie how I will feel when I know ours. Defenetly will be doing some kind aof happy dance. :lol:
