How long did it take guys when they sent you the rejected packet or the notice of rejection? I have a feeling that I will be in the same boat as we enclosed the new filing fee for a packet postmarked before the effectiveness of the new one. We are on the 3rd week from the day we sent our I-129f and no sign of NOA1 yet.

This is a super old 5 year old post you are responding to so you may not get a response. Having said that did you send in the form with your text and email so that they can notify you of NOA 1?

Did you send package with delivery tracking to confirm they at least got your package, was your return address on the envelope annnnnnnnnnnd... finally did they CASH our check or Money order?

Your payment case is a little different as you send in too much but it will be required the other person sent in too much and there was no future change.

I don't see them giving you your money back and saying ok now send it back to us.

They may just hold your file or process as is.

Let me know about those other issues though

Thanks Jim, I just saw one of the respondent visited the site few days back so hoping that someone would reply.

With regards to my application, everything was arranged according to the instructions available online. G-1145 was included in the package and all the necessary forms were filled and signed. We had the scanned copy of the receiver's signature from USPS. The only thing I could think now on why it is taking sometime for us to receive acceptance notice is the amount we have enclosed. As what you said, the amount sent is too much for the application on the day it was sent but since it gonna be the fee now there is no point of sending it back not unless they hold on to their integrity of not encashing it because the fee is supposed to be $340 and they will accept only if we give a check dated after 12/23 so they wont be questioned in taking excess fee from applicants.

Our cashier's check haven't been encashed yet as of this hour ?

OK that is a hard one.

Common sense would say they should hold the file/check until the 12/23 then cash and proceed.

BUT we are talking about the US Government so they are able to do things that make no sense at all..Haha.

I think you will hear something by this Thursday one way or another.

Monday Holiday so no action.

If they return it then just resend it back to them but you will have lost about 3 weeks or so.

Not sure how big of a hurry you are.

They have been super busy and you sent it right before all the holidays so just hang in there you will be fine

It's really out of your control at this point

Let me know
