My wifes 3 year mark will be in feb 2012, my question is how early can we apply for citizenship? Or do we have to do it after the 3 year mark? I heard we could apply 3 months before the 3 years, but im not sure how true that is.

You are allowed to apply no earlier than 90 days before the third anniversary of the green card issuance, if by that date you have already been married for 3 years and meet all of the residency, physical presence and all other criteria. If you have not been married for 3 years on that date, then on the date within that 90 day window on which you do satisfy all of the other criteria and have been married for 3 years, you can apply.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
