Ok guys, I see lots of you post that you called your state senator. How long did you wait? It has been 110 days since my petition was sent. And for the longest time we haven't heard anything. Ryan asks day in and day out about our petition, and I always have to say "not yet baby". When will I be able to say "WE'VE BEEN APPROVED"?

Should I contact the senator or not? What do I do? :help:

You should wait at least 30 days after the process date on the USCIS website and if I'm not mistaken Nebraska Service Center is now processing cases submitted in February. :(

Good Luck!

By the way, I waited 7 months before I contact my senator.

There is a thread on what has been processed:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=30138

Based on recent processing, my guess is that most March, April and May NOA1's will be processed in September.

If you do contact someone, it should be your US Senator(s) and/or US representative, rather than state senators/representatives.

Good luck.

Tom

Thank for for updating your timeline. (My Assistant, then edit/add my timeline.)

Good Luck!

Nebraska is not processing I-129fs anymore. CSC has the I-129f originally filed with Texas and Nebraska.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Has anyone called before 30 days after their processing date passed?

Is this thread correct? Or is it just an estimate? Do I go by the receive date for the CSC or my receive date? They have a date on my NOA1 as May 25th, and I received it on June 2nd. So, can someone help me shed some light? Give me a little more hope? Something!

Here is my plan. The USCIS automated phone system is stating 90 to 120 days processing for K-1's. On day 150 I plan on calling them, my congressman and both senators. ;)

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

I don't really think there is any proof that contacting a senator or rep will for sure help your case get processed any faster. Getting your senator or rep to launch an investigation is a task in itself. Most likely, at 110 days, your senator or rep will get a canned response from USCIS saying that you haven't waited the required number of days.

If they received your RFE on 7/11, wait until after 9/11. If you don't get an approval or reply from the USCIS shortly after 9/11, you should call them. After 9/11 you will have waited the required 60 days since the RFE correspondance, and you are entitled to an inquiry. Maybe they will have a decision at that point.

Based on that, think positive! I think you will receive an answer soon.
