Jackie I had salad and a piece of pepperoni pizza. :)

Tamara--thanks so much! I would greatly appreciate any advise or insight. I would love for him to get his citizenship and not have to deal with immigration anymore. I am interested to see how many people go ahead and get citizenship after year 3 or how many keep renewing their 10 year card. What kind of proof would you have to submit after 10 years?

Amanda, Wael got his citizenship 3 yrs and 4 months after arriving here. If you go to www.uscis.gov it will have the area for applying for citizenship

and what to do. He applied Sept 25, 2010, had his interview Jan 12, 2011 and took his oath Apr 1, 2011.

Best of luck to you both!!

Oh good luck! You'll have to tell me how that goes Tamara! My husband is debating that. He is worried though about all the questions he will be asked, the test. Is there some class you can go to?

Amanda,

I have a friend that just got her citizenship. I think the different offices might be a little different. They did give her a book to study with the questions and words that she needed to know how to read and write. They also gave her a CD with the 100 questions on it. She answered the first six questions correctly, so they didn't ask anymore. She only had one month to study the material and did just fine. I am attaching the link to the naturalization page on the USCIS site.

It has a link for what to expect, study materials, and a self test.

Good luck

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

Hi Amanda

just look at the check list on the usis site..not as much info you need to send..waiting again is what takes the longest can't remember the fee husband paid it . My husband has his interview and passed and got his citizenship the same day. Not sure how the immigration office is in your state on citizenship oath same day or wait for an oath day. Good luck!

Please relax. The IO will sense your anxiety and wonder why you're so anxious. Honestly, there's nothing to be anxious about. AOS interviews aren't that bad especially if you have nothing to hide.

OMGGGG. Half an hour until we need to leave and he has not gotten ready yet, and decides this is the appropriate time to call his family and chat? Is he trying to make me more anxious?!
