Is it possible to reschedule interview?

Yes, if you find out that the interview is scheduled for when you are not available, you can reschedule it. Hopefully you won't have that conflict.

My appointment was set on Oct. 16. I was planing to reschedule the interview to in earlier time . if I Email the embassy would they help us?

07/31/2011 NVC case number assigned & invoice number given

08/01/2011 filled DS261 online

08/02/2011 Paid AOS

08/03/2011 AOS fee marked as PAID

08/03/2011 AOS package sent

08/04/2011 IV fee invoiced and paid

08/05/2011 IV marked as paid, IV package sent

08/08/2011 IV and AOS received by NVC

08/12/2011 REF and returned in the same day

You are talking about an embassy interview for a visa, very different from a Naturalisation interview. Usually they schedule you for the earliest possible appointment, but you can always contact them and see if they have any cancelations.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
