After a long 4 months at work since our last vacation (which included our wedding anniversary) I am very happy to be headed back to Kitchener Waterloo.

I can hardly wait to see my nieces, brothers, best friend and eat a lot of good food. Dinner #1 is Schneider's Oktoberfest Sausage according to my dad (YUMMY!)

And once I get back I must begin studying the answers to the citizenship questions I don't know off by heart - I expect an interview letter by the time I'm back.

Have a good trip!! I'm driving back to Saskatoon from DC in May. 2100 miles of pure excitement, then turn around and do it again,lol The questions are easy, as you their are no surprises!! Good luck

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Enjoy your visit with family and friends. We'll be headed into Ontario for the Canadian long weekend and back home on Memorial Day weekend. I was just there in Feb but I do miss my daughter terribly when we are apart so I can't wait. :dance:

Update....weather has been schizo...lovely day yesterday, capped off by driving snow, then rain overnight. Today was crappy, nice and then crappy again...weird.

I consumed large amounts of Sausage and fried potatoes (my dad's are the best) and a lot of Tim Horton's coffee.

Hey - has anyone been to NY Fries lately and had the new poutine - Butter Chicken Poutine? (assuming it's an indian themed flavour)

I was happy with just the regular :)

Big Kitchener Rangers game 7 tonight...crossing fingers!

Ooooh, lucky you! It was 85o here yesterday. Beautiful. Raining now, though. Bring me back some Shreddies! :lol:

I'm excited that my family is coming for Easter. I'm going to go back with them because my cousin and his wife are coming for a visit from England. So I get a week in Canada too!!! So excited.
