How long to wait for embassy appointment?

Howdy.

So I got my NOA2 in feb, got the letter from London embassy soon afterwards, then sent all of my stuff post-haste once I arranged my medical.

I've had my medical now, and am patiently waiting for my interview date, but I'm not hearing anything back and I'm getting a little antsy. I don't even know if they have all the stuff they need? I haven't heard anything back.

Does anyone know the best course of action? Should I contact the embassy? If so, is the best way by phone or email or post or what? I only have the postal address, no other contact info.

Any ideas?

Call DOS 1-202-663-1225 They will be able to help you out.

you can also post in the UK forum and ask people who have gone through that embassy what the wait time is like. they can at least give you an estimate

So OP you need to call DOS first thing Monday morning. Packet 4 interview letters have not always been delivered at all, so call DOS first thing Monday morning. It sounds like you haven't been using this method to track your case, so when you call don't bother listening to the recorded message, but instead press 1 for the main menu and then 0 for an operator.

Do you mean one month is your interview date generally from sending packet 3 papers? Or does it take that long to know your interview date?

Lately I've seen people call DOS to get their date after 2 weeks from packet 3 and have successfully gotten it.

Lately I've seen people call DOS to get their date after 2 weeks from packet 3 and have successfully gotten it.

On average, so long as people get their medical done in a timely manner and send off DS-2001 with their packet 3 forms, it is taking roughly 1 month from date of sending forms to interview date. Just over one month in our case.

Phoned today, was given the 27th Apr, about a month and a half from when I sent the forms. The lady also said the papers were being sent out today.

Coincidence, or do you think sometimes they wait until you call to make the appointment?
