But I've not posted about JAPANESE. I've posted about Japan and exports. Country, not people. Again - Massive Fail to assume I am BIGOTED. Thread Hijaak, also... How do you feel?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I feel just fine. So you're not a bigot, you just make bigoted statements? Strange logic you have there.

Excellent. I was worried a bit (for you) - some hiatus for you from oct 2010 to 3rd April 2011. That's a long 'administrative time-out' - even for you, Rob. Still more thread HiJaak ? Seriously ? Oh wait - perhaps this is the first time you've had a chance to write about 'it'. Got it ! Thread Hijaak, though - still 'bad form'. Did you have any immigration issue today, perhaps some of the 'immigration-focused' members can help you with?

This has the distinct whiff of a personal attack here, and again, Darnell, you have no right to tell people that they must post only on immigration-related issues. This is Off Topic, after all -- who made you content police in OT? Where is the immigration angle here in a thread on tablet computers? Or is that just your weak attempt to yet again bang your "blah blah blah, if your journey is over get off" drum?

If you guys want to duke it out about Japan, go to P&R.

Edit to add: it's "hijack," not "Hijaak." Please correct -- this misspelling is really irritating mine eye.

For an organizer, you sure do have a poor grasp of the TOS here at visajourney.com. You should familiarize yourself with it to be able to better carry out your duties as an organizer. You are aware that this is the Off Topic portion of these forums right? I would think that a syndicated author would have the wherewithal to know what forum you are posting in. Maybe you need to get reacquainted with the various fora here on visajourney.

You seem to have a serious disconnect here, so I will reiterate my post. You have said some repugnant things about the Japanese, and I merely suggested that it was odd that you would support their products, yet cheer a nuclear meltdown as the decline of an economic competitor. Quite callous.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments.

+ I think I made clear I don't want a second laptop... just a good, dependable, GOOD-functioning touchscreen system that is something almost like a laptop where I can cross-platform without getting overly techie. I can do tech, but why complicate oneself?

You could wait for the HP Touchpad, it looks very promising.

I've had several HP notebooks and desktops. All have been excellent. Guess you guys have had bad some luck?

Yep... sticky mousepad, cheap ac adaptor socket, several other hardware issues that showed me they were using (at the time) cheap parts for a moderately-priced piece of equipment. The display and the sound was really nice though.

What do you mean by "mousepad"? Are you talking about the touchpad on a laptop, that stupid eraser thingy, or something else? Regarding the AC adapter socket, are you talking about a desktop?
