If i apply for a month h2b visa on the basis that I wish to come to travel the states, and i also prove i have enough funding, and toes back home do you think it would be granted?

On another note, if under the VWP i was leave the US for say Brazil for a week, could I then return to the US under the VWP for another 90 days?

exploring all possibilities. Dont want to work but want to genuinly travel around and get a good few months skiing at the resorts too.

H2B visa is for seasonal workers, so probably would require a US Employer willing to sponsor the visa to get one.

As for VWP, I believe it allows 90 days stay, in many cases leaving and then returning shortly later will not reset the 90 day period, in many cases the POE treats it as if you had not left the USA and sets stay to expire at the same time as prior to leaving for the short time.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

You can apply for the B2.

Whether you get it is another issue.

Make 2 trips with a decent time out, problem solved.

Boiler,

thanks again

If i apply for a B2, and explain my intentions of a couple of months skiing west coast then travelling east before returning, and also show my funding etc, and that i am on a career break from work, would that help my cause?

Am i right in thinking that apply for the B2 in London and that if granted could last up to 10 years, I can then visit the US for up to 6 months during the duration of the visa?

hope it makes sense!

Dave

It did not work for me, you may be lucky.

That is the normal issuance for a B2.

If you want to travel and you have enough funds to show you cna support your travel and you have enough ties back to your home country where you would return upon completion of your 6 months.

Then you should be fine and B1/B2 would be the right visa for you.

It might be the right visa, getting it is the issue.
