I need HELP! The NVC sent a letter showing this:

Supporting Documents missing or incomplete

[x] The (sponsor) has not provided proof of U.S. domicile.

With my affidavit of support I included this letter below and everything described in it. What more could they want? Based on other discussions I thought I had enough. So frustrating.

Question No. 15 Country of Domicile

Dear Sir/Madam,

I, **, am including this letter and supporting documents to prove of my intent in good faith to reestablish my domicile in the Unites States, for the purpose of fulfilling the I-864 requirements. I have attached the following:

• A lease agreement for a place to reside in **.

• Unites States bank account statements including retirement account.

• Quote from moving company to move from Canada to USA.

• USA Credit Card Statement

• An offer of employment from a United States company.

The following item is currently unavailable as it requires a more concrete time frame of when the interview will occur so we plan our move accordingly. I submit that this item will be available for review at the time of the interview:

• A letter from current landlord acknowledging the end of our residency at current location in Canada.

I declare that I intend in good faith to re-establish my domicile in the United States no later than the date of my wife’s admission into the US.

I certify under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States that the statements in this letter and all accompanying evidence are true and correct.

call NVC, get a HUMAN, then get a supervisor,

then

ask them if the human with the casefile actually READ your attachment letter,

and ask the supervisor to ask the other human to find it again, read it again.

Seriously.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Montreal is hell to deal with when it comes to domicile, generally they will not accept a job offer letter. You have to HAVE the job and have a letter with a statement saying the start date of your job etc.

Do you have proof of utility payments for the place your leasing? that should help too.

There is a whole pinned topic on Montreal domicile issues in the regional - Canada section.
