The 864 form is used for AOS. The 134 form is used for the K-1 interview.

Update your timeline so we can help you; you may be looking at the wrong form.

Read the Guides (button at top of this page).

Note, neither I-864 or I-864A is used for K-1 visas, only I-134 is accepted for sponsoring a K-1.

Later when adjusting status in the USA will I-864,I-864A be used.

Manila is know to be strict in their use of I-134, and only accept one from petitioner and usually will not accept a "Co-Sponsor" I-134.

Moving to Embassy/Consulate forum...

thanks everyone.. his a pain in the butt he dont listen that we dont need it lol, does 26thousand usd a year good for 3people? he got one kid.

Yep, 26K is enough for a family of three in the 48 states, he should be fine and does not need a co-sponsor, and will not need a Joint sponsor when adjusting status later.

Min in 48 states is 23K, and in Alaska 29K, and Hawaii 27K

You are not going to send the affidavit of support (I-134) along with your 1-29f. They will just look for the I-134 at the interview.

About the income, maybe someone knowledgeable can address your concern.

Oh. I thought you guys already know what to do after all the research and Qs.

Again, what you need are:

CHECK FOR $340

g-1145

cover letter stating the contents of your packet (optional)

i-129f form signed and dated

g-325a from you and a passport photo

g-325a from your fiancé and his passport photo

letter of intent from both of you signed and dated

his bc, divorce decress (if any)

evidence including photos of your time together and boarding passes and copies of his stamped passport.

emails, call logs, phone bills, cards. (whatever you both have exchanged)

then when you have your NOA2 after a month or so, prepare the amount of $350 for the visa fee and $218 for the medical. But wait, you are not done with fees yet cos as soon after you get married, you need to file for AOS which cost $1070 for your 2-year GC

OK, this has become more of a regional topic, moving to the PI forum...

But yes, Affidavit of support is needed at interview, NOT when filing petition, have some time to build up evidence that current, and future income will be sufficient. prior years tax returns goes to show consistently employed.
