We file our AOS December 2010. Received my AP and EAD February 2011 and our interview will be on May 2. So it took almost 5 months. Plus we don't know yet when to get the card after the interview. Good luck to us.

The good thing is that u guys are now together, i still have to wait for the K1 to b granted so that i can reunite with my sweetheart.

Good luck to all of us! :)

Well, I lived in the US for 4 years before filing for AOS.

After now 4 month I just got my Biometric appointment.

So after 120days NO EAD yet.

Not even thinkning about the GreenCard...

04/2006 - came to US as L1 employee

04/2010 - got married

11/2010 - submitted AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765)

05/2011 - Welcome letter arrived in the mail

11/2017 - Filed for naturalization (Online Houston office)

11/2017 - Biometrics

06/2018 - Interview (passed)

06/2018 - Case approved notification

That sucks but well, again, at least u guys r together, and well, I guess u r very close to the end. I think I will just have to be patient and try not to spend a lot of money till I make some.

A question for you. Do they change ur Social Security number when u get ur Green Card? ( I mean, since u already had one before, when u were working). Have u been able to drive with your "old" driving license?

Thanx.

I would not see a reason why I would not be able to drive with my license.

In TX it states on the license that you are a temporary visitor and the validity is limited to your Visa.

So my license states it is valid till 2012.

But since I am in the US (2006) I have been stopped by an officer once (for speedind), if you drive according to the rules you don't get stopped.

2 months isn't the average or the normal thing.

I am a January filer 2011 and two months and nearly a week after filing it I received my EAD. We are expecting the Greencard with some luck for the very end of this month. However, I've read of some January filers getting it after 2 months or 2 months and a half but again is very up to the office...Anyway a current average would be 4 months though.

Good luck! :)

I just got packet 3 from the embassy but I´m already working on what I will need for AOS and Work Permit. I legally lived / worked in The USA for 4 years so I already have a SS number and a valid Driving License, so I wonder if that is going to make the process smoother.

FWIW, L already had a SSN as well (though no DL, because he prefers to not drive). It didn't seem to make a difference.
