Hello all,

Does anybody know what time the service centers are open until?

I have my fingerprint appointment schedule for may 17th, but I wanted to do a walk in tomorrow around 4pm.

I do work until 3:30 and wanted to go after that.

I believe they close at 5pm but not sure, anybody knows????

Hello all,

My online case status says on May 9th I am inline for an interview. Hope everyone hears that soon. Nothing by mail yet, and no update to my email or text but then again I have not been updated so far by email or text either.

K-1 journey, AOS/EAD and ROC in my timeline

2011 March 31 - Sent off Naturalization pkg overnight to Texas

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

When did your status changed to 'Testing and Interview'? On the 10th or the 11th - My status is 'Testing and Interview' but it says that I am in the line so I'm not sure if I need to wait for the status to update again before they will send out the letter. Oh well - I guess I have to wait.

When did your status changed to 'Testing and Interview'? On the 10th or the 11th - My status is 'Testing and Interview' but it says that I am in the line so I'm not sure if I need to wait for the status to update again before they will send out the letter. Oh well - I guess I have to wait.

basically i got two e-mails from the USCIS

the first e-mail was on the 10th

"On May 10, 2011, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling"

and the second was yesterday the 11th

"Your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION is now scheduled for interview..... If you do not receive this notice within 14 days please call customer service ...."

I've never heard of receiving two text messages from USCIS because what i thought was that once the file is sent to the local office that is where they will schedule the interview and send the notice.

what it looks like is that the file stays at USCIS Arizona until the interview is scheduled and then they forward it to the local office, because there is no way in hell that the file was forwarded to the local office where they were supposed to and scheduled the interview in less than 24 hrs. unbelievable but it happened.

or maybe i am mistaken.

Same thing with me, except mine was May 9th for the first update and then May 10th for the second one... Still waiting for my interview appointment.

That is great, congratulations to both of you. I never got the second email yet, people who applied before me are also still waiting for their interviews. It looks like USCIS changed their way of updating status - my brother applied for citizenship last year and when his status went to 'Testing and Interview' he received the letter in 3 days and this is when his status said that his case has been transferred to the local office. Thanks for your reply!

Okay it's only telling us we are receiving the letter for Biometrics soon. We were late April filers. Awesome everyone is getting their Interview appts! Congrats! Looks like everything is going pretty fast. Hopefully there are no hold ups with us. I am hoping I put in everything we needed in the packet. I only put current items in (besides tax returns which I made sure I sent Everything, even though they probably have tons of copies already)as at the last interview they had a big green two hole punch folder with practically everything we have sent them in it. (hence why they love it when people send two hole punched forms & backup!)

Anyone have their interview yet? Does only the PR go in to the interview this time?

BTW the USCIS website has some pretty cool flash cards! I printed them out & two hole punched them & bracketed them (yeah I work in accounting so I have lots of this stuff!) and then made sure I had all the local answers for my hubby! Very Nifty! My husband can now bring along the booklet & even study it in the waiting room. I better start quizzing him!
