Did you really forget what day it is in Thailand? April 1st. Duh. This is obviously not a legitimate story. It is clearly a prank perpetrated by Thaivisa.com. The story has no roots anywhere else.

This is an April Fool's prank, moving to off topic

Prank or not, the law, if adopted, would only prohibit such marriages within the borders of Thailand:

"Thai nationals cannot be prohibited from marrying older foreigners abroad,

however Thai embassies will warn them of the possibility that Thailand will not

recognize the marriage if they return to Thailand, he noted."

That doesn't rule out K-1's, as the heading of this thread suggests.

There are laws governing age of consent. I couldn't marry someone two decades younger than me due to those laws. So yeah.. thinking I'm envious because I can't marry a freakin child is pretty stupid o

True Story.

My cousin in Texas married a 14 year old with her parents consent, He was 17. Yes they lived in the country.

She was not pregnant. About 6 months later he was killed by a drunk driver.

She became a 14 year old widower.

End of story.......
