Hello everyone..

I'm about to send out an e-mail to NVC but I'm confused on what name to use for DS-3032. On my passport I am already using my married name and from the forms that I have filled out at USCIS I also used my married name but on their replies they still indicate my maiden name. Has everyone here been through the same thing? Should I indicate my maiden name for the e-mail that I'm about to send? Pls.. Help.. i badly need clarifications.. :help:

I received a message from NVC saying that I only have to send a copy of my passport's biographic page so NVC can change my name. :D ,,thanks for the replies..

just use ur married name, i received the same and since i was on the same situation like you, we contacted the immigration lawyer who prepared my husband's petition paper and he said just use the married name. married or maiden it doesn;t matter. just make sure make correction when before they issue visa at the embassy.

Upon sending out my IV Packet my husband will just attach a letter stating the name change, NVC will just then refer to my passport copy. :)

They say that's one of the purpose of DS230, there's a part where it asks for OTHER NAMES USE/IF MARRIED. So a letter asking for name correction is not necessary. But it helps though.
