I am the USC traveling with my UK fiance from London Heathrow to Washington Dulles for his POE on our K1 finally!!! Since we'll be flying in together, I've read several reviews that say people were in line together at immigration. Does he go through the US Citizen line with me since he has a visa or do we have to separate to go through immigration? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

When I traveled home with my wife, she had K-1, I simply got in her line, the immigrations people helping people waiting in line had no problem with my being in line with her. Some POE will direct you both to US Citizen/Resident line, but that is up to the person directing traffic. Best to go through the line for visitors/immigrants unless directed otherwise.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Agree with Dan. I went through the visitor line with him just because I thought they may be better set up for processing visas. Don't think it would have mattered either way in hindsight.

Dulles immigraition is easy. He can go through the Citizen line with you.

Heck, half the time the people who are supposed to be directing traffic at Dulles immigration aren't even paying attention to ####### is going on, such as the last time I went through there (Feb. 26, 2011). As soon as you get to the immigration area, just walk right to the US Citizen line, since from my experience at POE's, if you "look" like you know what you are doing (IE: know where you are going), the people directing traffic won't bother you...if they are paying attention.
