Like any other I-864, Recent tax returns, or IRS Transcripts, copies of recent pay stubs, a letter from an employer indicating job type, full/PT, salary...

Note a joint sponsor uses I-864, not I-864A, and a member of joint sponsor's household like a spouse can provide an I-864A to add income to the joint sponsor.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I need some clear idea bout it. My spouse is not working so she have fill I-864 and my father in law is co sponsor so he have to file I864a.

Can you please conform it?

If I am wrong ,Please guide me toward the correct path.

Thanks in advance

Your spouse, who is not working, must file an I-864, and checks "I am the petitioner." Your father in law co-sponsor ALSO files an I-864, and just checks a different box on the form itself ("I am the only joint sponsor" if that's correct).

Married since 03/02/2011, AOS from F-1 visa, green card granted 05/24/2011.
Blessed with a healthy baby boy, 08/19/2011! We get to keep our family together! Thank you! smile.png

Thanks for your quick response.

But in the earlier response Mr. YoAndDan said that joint sponsor have to file I-864a.

Thanks

You need to reread. YuandDan said joint sponsor uses I-864, NOT I-864a. Reading carefully is a very important part of this process.

AOS for my husband

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
