Yesterday my fiancee in Moscow had her Medical exam. She did all her immunizations prior to the exam at her local clinic and got an immunization record. When she cam for medical they asked "if she wants to translate her record". She did not completely understand what they mean and she said "no". They said that this is not necessary for K1 visa and did not even ask for the record. They gave her sealed envelope the same day and let her go. Does this mean that she will have to do immunization again for AOS? Should she go and get notarized translation of the record to bring with her? Can she just bring record to US?

She should have said "Yes" and got a free transcript on the DS-3025. How far is she from the clinic? She can go back and ask for it. If she does, this is probably all she will need for the AOS. If not, she will have to go to a Civil Surgeon here in the US and have him fill out the vaccination portion of the I-693

Have her call and ask to have them get a copy of the 3025 ready for her to pick up at the medical facility. This will be needed for the AOS and for use by the CS to transcribe the records onto the I-693 document.

To the other poster.....it is highly recommended that you send in BOTH the 3025 AND the 693 with transcription of that by the CS for your AOS filing. Some have sent in only the 3025 and been approved and many others have pulled an RFE and had to get the 693. By my count it runs 50-50. We sent in both and had no RFEs.

While we intended to send in an I-693 we had difficulties finding a civil surgeon that did not want $300+ and the one that would do it for less was at the local health clinic that did not have appointments for 4 weeks. We sent in the 3025 and decided to see what happens. At that point an RFE was of no concern to us as she was already here. All it would amount to is a few week delay until the green card. Of course she had all the required vaccines prior to or during her medical in Moscow. Sending just the 3025 will not work if all vaccinations are not done.

No, she did not. They did not give her this option :(

Yes they did. That is what they meant when they said the "traslation" it would have been on the DS 3025 form

Sorry, but I want to be sure my fiancee asks for the right documents....she should ask for a translation of I-693 and ask for a copy of the document 3025? and should this be translated also? Sorry, but just a bit confused....if she asks for the 3025, will she receive it at the medical office that day?...she want to return to Petersburg after the interview and receive the visa and leave after it is in her hand and doesn't want to wait for any more crazy things.....thanks for any help

It is quite simple.

She should gather all her vaccination records and take then with her. They will transcribe all these onto the form DS 3025, make sure she asks for it. She will KEEP the DS 3025, she does not need it for the interview, and bring it to the US with her to be filed with your AOS papers.

Before she goes to the medical, get all the vaccination reocrds and get to date on vaccines. If she does not, she will have to do it here and it is more expensive here.

Have her call and ask to have them get a copy of the 3025 ready for her to pick up at the medical facility. This will be needed for the AOS and for use by the CS to transcribe the records onto the I-693 document.

We sent ONLY the DS 3025 for all three adjustments and had no problems.
