The bolded portion of your post is flawed. Just because Canada has cleared the record doesn't mean that they conform with U.S. legal standards. Some nations will seal a juvenile record at the age of 18 regardless of the offense. The U.S. does not recognize that and thus requests further documentation to verify that it complies with their metric.

Then that is all I needed to know. Why should anyone move to another country to be treated poorly and never amount to something because of a mistake in their past (rhetorical question)? I gave up my chance to be making $75-80,000 CDN by the time I would be 25 to be with someone who means the world to me. My moving to the US is contingent upon not being barred from obtaining a good job/career..

Whether or not my statement was flawed is irrelevant. All I wanted to know was is this information going to be used against myself, and anyone else who is in the same boat.

I do not have a criminal record here in the states. I have had a background check more than a few times since arriving here. so I cannot really say

lol unfortunately this is a public forum with millions of people from all over. your going to get that whether you like it or not. Also you technically asked "everyone" as a specific name was not attached to that question All you can do is take it with a grain of salt and chose to ignore or not replay to any posts you think are irrelevant or not what you are looking for. Otherwise people will get there feathers ruffled and that just leads to other things.

Also text does have a way of making people read a post a certain way or the wrong way. Just remember, most of the people here on VJ are here to share similar experiences and offer advice.
