Honey they are all the same in certain regards...from PhD's to GED's. Gals can be played like a violin (as can men), but if you have a "Stradivarius" and you have game (like myself), then it's only a matter of time before it's "boot knockin" time...whether it be with a doctor or a waitress. Nope. Start telling me how great I look and the first thing I am going to wonder is what do you want. Second is how someone could be so creepy when we have only just met-- possibly a major creep who is not above being a threat. Third is which exit that I scouted earlier is going to be the closest and how many things could I take you down with if I needed to do so. These thoughts run close to concurrent, although there is a slight consecutive order. That would be the incorrect way to approach me and probably some other women. I wouldn't even smile.

Actually, from those who have witnessed such attempts they say I get this look of death for a milisecond and then go completely flat afect. This unnerves most people enough that they sort of freak out and leave. If they continue to be forced to come into contact with me apparently the flat afect returns each time I see the person and I continue to be unreadable which continues to freak the people out. It's not by concious choice on my part. Took a close friend to inform me of this a couple of years ago. I also do make a great poker player although in the past I had never really known why.

Actually, it's probably just as skewed as our own POVs on how to approach people as your personality will determine your selection criteria to a certain point... like I don't drink. I would not go into a bar. Chances of me and Why_Me ever meeting to engage in this "oops i got a wrong drink here you take it" is very low. VERY LOW. Near zero. Therefore, his criteria for what works and me saying it wouldn't work for me... both subjective and anecdotal but also based on us thinking on what we would do and past situations.

The kind of girls he would meet in those situations are ones who have gone to the same place as him (I picture a bar-bar or at most a sports-bar, not some University bar or beatnick poetry coffee house) and who probably do drink. It really doesn't matter except in that I am just saying he probably avoids places that have people and activities he couldn't care less about. Don't we all? So in behavior alone we segregate ourselves to a limited section of selection.

We all have some sort of criteria we generally follow in order to select... for example we established I am not a MENA-fetish girl but rather select people from work/school. My first husband was Italian-American. My second Jordanian. WHat is the commonality? Well, to a certain extent there is the Mediterranian thing going on, but also there is school and work. #1 is landscape archaeology. I'm bioarchaeology. #2 is physical anthropology. So knowing I tend to do this means that I have unconsciously and consciously ruled out selection from other places people do find others.

Sometimes I dress in a slightly revealing manner; more frequently I don't. Every time -- EVERY TIME -- I have been sexually threatened by a man it was when I was wearing something that Paul, Danno or any other Taliban-lite sympathiser would see as a respectable manner of dress. Is it because I look hotter in slobwear? I doubt it. These men were going to proposition, leer, grope or assault me if I were in overalls or a "slutty" little dress. It didn't matter -- none of these instances were about how sexy I was or seemed. They were 100% about power. If we as women can't feel safe in jeans and a plain t-shirt, we might as well jack in this Western malarkey and get our burqas on.

Being that I cover up and am always in long sleeves, long pants, and a near-crew neck or crew neck minimum all the time for personal/moral/religious reasons-- this would also be the case for me.

Now, there was once time where I didn't do so. I think I get the same if not more attention now than before? I mean I'm not sure, I don't take out my "flip book of awesomeness" and make little tallies with dates, times, and notes about outfits when stuff like that happens.

I know I can say that in my experience, which is completely anecdotal evidence of course, sexual assault did not correlate to outfit being worn being slutty.

Chicks that dress conservative, don't drink, and hang out with and/are are intellectual are like dead last on my list. Night clubs with action..or even a dive watering hole with some decent country in the back ground is prime hunting grounds imo. Look for some do me hard eye contact and go from there. Any chick that uses words with more than three syllables is better off with the university / star bucks crowd where they can talk about such things like gardening, hiking, chick movies, and other activities that make me want to hang myself.

You know what I'm talking about though don't you charles ? You ever been on a date with a doctor and/or professor ? I have, and it was torture. They drink ####### like wine coolers, ####### fruity chick drinks.. and talk about ####### that nobody cares about...or at least me and then they expect you to date them like god only knows how many times before you get in their pants. It's like a total waste of time and life. If they would shut their yaps, cut to the chase and learn to have a little fun it would be different. But they don't. I had a few of those dates where it was like being in a Peanuts/Charlie Brown cartoon where the adults talk and all you hear is; "whaaa... whaaa, and whaaa..." And they can go on for hours like that. It's got to be comparable to having fingernails pulled out with pliers. And what really amazes me is that they think we actually give two sh*ts about what they like, care about, opinions, life story, etc...

Whether he's trolling or not, bedding women who are impressed with some random cheap hooch laying about your pick up truck cos all the bars are closed is really not that big of an accomplishment, nor should it really be interpreted as 'wow look at me, I'm hot'. Aside from exhibiting absolutely no respect for women, he displays a profound ignorance of the female gender, which I would assume is the reason why he seems to me to be overcompensating now.

I never made such claim. All I did was point out that most guys with a normal level of testosterone could give two craps less about what some chick thinks in regards to...most everything. I know it sucks, but it's a fact. Now if you were to ask some metro sexual guy then I'm sure you would get an answer that would sound nicer to your ears.
