I am more than a little thrilled right now! After over six long months of waiting we are through the first part! AHHHHHHHHH!!! To all those waiting, the best of luck, you will feel great! Thanks to everyone on here! VJ has been great helping me through the toughest part of the journey.

Now on to the NVC and then Rio!

09/21/10 - I-129F Sent!

09/23/10 - I-129F Received in Dallas, TX

09/28/10 - Text & E-mail NOA1 (It was at 12:44AM, weird) Notification that our case was transferred to VSC.

09/29/10 - Check cashed

09/30/10 - NOA-1 Hard Copy dated Sep. 27, 2010

10/03/10 - TOUCH!

After numerous calls to USCIS, my two Texas Senators and a Congressman, the latter got an "expedite" put through (if you can call a month and a week after ONPT an expedite). Just never let up! Even though mine took way too long, there were people who were a month before me and waited longer because they just sat back and watched. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease!"

03/31/11 - NOA-2!

04/05/11 - Received NOA-2 hard copy.

04/07/11 - NVC Received

04/12/11 - Case left NVC via DHL

04/14/11 - Consulate Received Hard Copy of Case

You should be in constant contact at this point with your Congressman or Senators. For me I did both. My Congressman got an expedite put in last week and I followed up with him this morning. He put me on hold and when he came back he told me they had made a decision and it would be mailed out tomorrow. He said they couldn't tell him what the decision was, just that it was made. I kept checking online every five minutes as well as calling USCIS. Finally I hit refresh and the blue dot moved! Shortly after I got the text and then the e-mail!

Don't give up, call your representatives!!! Good luck!

congratulations!! Still waiting on mine :( Question...what does "touched" mean on your timeline?

"Touch" is a VJ term that we refer to whenever our case is updated on the USCIS website. It doesn't happen often and in some cases never does. You can see a touch whenever the "last updated" date changes on the official USCIS website. It is updated any time someone scans your file. It could mean that they simply moved your file from one desk to another or updated the system. They did a mass update on 10/03 where the majority of Vermont Filers were "touched". That was the only one I got.

Good luck!
