ae4ever,

How do I answer question 10 for K3? do I list both I-129F and I-130 seperately?

I would

For question 11, what specifically do I write after checking "I intend to".

The expenses that you intend to cover. I would provide a general list rather than a specific list so as to not have to go to an attached sheet to complete the answer.

For K-3 applicants I've read on the boards here that the appropriate response is to leave the boxes unchecked and specify in the text area:

N/A (K-3 visa process for permanent residence)

Question 11 is intended more for vistors than for permanent residence. I'd like clarification from anyone willing to provide it as I'm getting ready to cast off the I-134, along with bank statements, tax returns, stock holdings, company letter, etc.

Can anyone provide a definitive answer on this in regards to a K-3 applicant?

Thank you!

The I-134 at one stage was the only affidavit of support and that particular question was pertinent to when support was required to be shown for a temporary stay in the US. It is now often used in K visa nonimmigrant cases as one of the things a conof/consulate may use to decide if the applicant will or wont become a public charge. K visas are processed in much the same way as an immigrant visa as those entering on a K visa will be seeking immigrant status. The I-134 is also not legally binding. Answering N/A (K3 visa process) for question 11 of the I-134 is acceptable. One leaves the check boxes empty as the N/A (K3 visa process) answers the question.

Goodonya Aussie Wench!

I just spent $10 getting it notarized and the gentleman said, "You better check intend if you want this approved"

I began a debate with him based on everything I've read, which was news to him.

Of course now I had doubt, came to the boards, and once again got an answer that made me feel good about what I had originally chosen to do.

billyboy,

Once upon a time, not all that long ago actually although before the time of most current VJers, I-134 Q11 had a parenthetical note to the effect that it was only to be answered if the sponsored alien was to be in the USA temporarily.

That note is gone, but the anecdotal evidence is that its consequence is still acceptable. That does not mean that answering the question is inappropriate or unacceptable.
