I am sure you mean what you say but it will prove to be nearly impossible for him to get a tourist visa. The best thing you both can do is study the " strongest ties " rule. He MUST absolutley PROVE beyond any doubt that he will return.

Keep in mind that all people with any type of visa are considered "intending immigrants" . This means they may stay once inside the USA they may attempt to stay.

Find someone from Pakistan that has a tourist visa to ask exactly how they got it. Coming home to sick mother wont do it. They will simply say he should stay home & care for her.

It will be very difficult for him to get a tourist visa unless he has strong ties to Pakistan- does he have a good job, or enrolled in university?

Have you considered going over there to visit him and his family, especially since his brother is sick?

Im sorry but after living in Pakistan and having family from Pakistan about the only thing that really makes strong ties is if he has a wife and children he is leaving behind from what we have seen personally, money in the bank, owning property, having a good job, seems to have no effect showing strong ties to Pakistan, they want to see what a normal man or women would never leave and not return to and sadly that is a spouse and children......

try to visit him or see if he can go to another country to meet you such as egypt or even bangkok....

good luck and i will add u to my prayers

So basically he has no ties in pak, he does not have enough funds of his own to cover his trip and you are sending a letter of invitation (which does not matter at all).

First question CO is going to ask is why should he let your bf come over?

IF even they let him come over what are the chances he would return back to pak and not overstay?

Ans. (he has sick mother he has to care for)

I think for that region that is old answer, and then next thing CO is going to ask is if you have a sick mother in pak, why do you want to visit a gf in US and how are you going to get married as you cannot leave pak, you will have your mother to care for?

So why even take this trip?

Honestly its going to be very diff for him to get a tourist visa. (That’s the most abused visa category and getting that without sufficient ties its not happening)

Honestly, your best chances are to go visit him. I would not just go there on a whim, it is very hard to go there alone and you must have complete confidence he will take care of you there. Pakistani visas are easy to get, but he will need to tell his family about you which was my major issue before my husband and I got married. He was afraid to tell his family about me, as we were only dating at the time. I stayed in a hotel for 2 weeks and he saw me there, then when things got more serious he made arrangements for me to stay with his best friend and eventually after dating for 6 months, me there the whole time, he told his family. I met with them and they all loved me and gave my husband blessings for the marriage. If you meet and decide you want to spend the rest of your life together you can marry there and get a spouse visa, or go the fiancee visa route.

he does have lots of ties but there is no job where he lives so honestly wont be able to show that , but he is goiing to school and also they have some property ties to him so maybe that will help.

From Pak school would not be considered a strong tie, does have the property in his name or family name.

If family name then that is not a strong tie, so when you say he has lot of ties, its not your or my definition of ties but we go with the definition of CO.

So if you can tell what else are the ties that you are thinking about then someone on here can suggest if it will work or not.
