Anybody from nevada who knows how or if you can apply for a state id or license once you've received your EAD?

Have you gone to the DMV? or looked at nevada state DMV website? thats the first place to start.

hello...I'm not from Nevada but I'm from California..we applied for my state ID just this March whenever I received my EAD and they accepted it..you can try to go to the nearest DMV in your place and apply...just make sure that the name on your SSN card matches the name on your EAD card...we got trouble whenever we applied first because we had just applied for a change of name on my SSN card(becoz I had it on my maiden name before) and maybe the case wasn't updated yet..but then, once I received my new SSN card(thanked God, just took 6 days of long waiting..lol) and went back to DMV, it was fine and I was able to apply for good..although until now, still waiting for my state ID(they said it will take 4-8 weeks)..really hoping it will come soon...God bless us all..

Looks like EAD isn't proof of identity according to Nevada DMV website. Guess I will have to wait until I receive my GC. Thanks for your input!

@pookaphilus - too bad i dont live in CA. good luck with your ID. You will get it in no time!
