How soon is too soon to start calling the NVC to get my London case number? I got my NOA2 (K1) on Monday.

i also just called today and its still not in the system

they said i need to wait 15 business days

does it really take that long to get a case from VSC to NVC right next door in New Hampshire?

I know!!! I was thinking that! If I could I would volunteer to drive it between the centers myself, it'd be there in a day. ugh.

NVC told me they recieved my case on Monday March 28, 2011 and it still does not have a case number. NVC then told me to call back in 4 to 5 weeks for a case number. WHAT?!?!?!? Are they crazy?? :blink:

that sucks but I think I-130's have to do alot more at NVC and therefore takes longer

i hope its a speedy process for you

4 to 5 weeks is crazy. I would keep calling them every few days. Keep in mind that the people who answer the phone are very low level so they just pump out the information they are given. IMO better to start calling after two weeks and call every few days until you get the case number.

So I decided to call again today because the worst they can do to me is be rude about not waiting and......... WE HAVE A LONDON CASE NUMBER WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO omg this week has seriously been one of the best weeks ever... My Duds will be here soon YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

thats so weird, you were approved like a week before me :-( maybe its because i got expedited at vsc in the end. if you can call 6 months expeditious. good luck! shouldnt be long if they have your file.

yeah probs because you have an expedite. as of this morning we dont have a case number so hopefully as they process our embassy request quickly, we will get a case number early next week at the latest. Which is so funny because they kept asking me for evidence that he was eligible to change his visa and made me send in a copy of his passport, when we just wanted to change it to his country of nationality, not a different country.
