Hey Fam!!! i am a november filer, i have done my biometric on January the 3rd but haven't heard anything ever since. But i just a question, i have not moved but my street address has changed so what should i do? Change my address online? Cause i have already made a change of address at usps.com and this morning i called the uscis and the lady i talked to did the change of address online and told me that i should do it again online and mail it to them. Is that necessary? need some advice please.

Thanks

The address change at the post office is far more reliable then doing it with the USCIS, I think you are fine. Also, keep checking the online status with USCIS to make sure you are not missing any thing from them.

sounds unusual for your street address to change? for sure you need to file the ar-11 and if i were you i would at a minimum see if your status online has changed or set up an infopass...no uscis mail would be forwarded so you would definitely need to follow up.

good luck!

I called uscis a second time, the guy advised me to go ahead and change my address online. So i already did and printed a copy of it. So hopefully it will be enough

But thanks for your response Kang Lang, i appreciate it.

While you may not have moved, your house/apartment did (sort of) - this would likely need an AR-11 (or the online COA, where applicable) for the foreign spouse and an I-865 for the sponsoring US spouse as well.

Filing a USPS change of address is not enough (even for this circumstance) as it does not update government records and does expire. Admittedly - your circumstance is unusual lol.

I know right Otto?lol but i received an email from USCIS today saying that they received my change of address and that my case was being reviewed and that i will hear something in the 60 days coming. So that was a plus for me.Hihi. But thanks y'all. I appreciate it.
