Extra documents returned by CO ?

My wife had her interview couple of days ago. CO said I am giving you the visa, and you should get your passport within two weeks. And then gave her bunch of documents. Among them were the original marriage certificate, Birth certificate, and here is the unusual thing...

CO also returned the 864EZ that I had filed along with the letter by my employer. I had made a mistake on the 864ez by not filling out line 18. So I got an RFE and had resubmitted the 864ez. What the CO returned was the entire 864ez packet with NVC receive stamps on each form and notes from a pencil. It did not have the tax transcripts from prior 3 years though. CO did not question about the financed at all. I had filed an extension last year, so My wife took copies of my recent return. The appointment letter stated that if an extension was use instead of returns, then to bring the returns to the interview. CO did not collect that either nor did she mentions or ask anything about finances.

Is that normal ? Or do you think it was a mistake. We are getting nervous, its been 3 working day already - keeping our fingers crossed that we will get that sweet phone call to pick up the passport soon.
