Just a rant and a warning folks...most of us are sending documents overseas for our visa interviews. After 6 months I had finally cleared my Noa 2 and NVC...our interview is scheduled for April 5....I ship 24 ounces of papers to Ukraine and pay United Parcel Service $170 to get it there in 4 days. I have a week but wanted to be safe. They of course promptly "lose" the package and amazingly refuse to search for it until 1 day after the package was to have arrived. I finally drive to the regional hub and demand a search..and after 15 minutes out it comes..It was 5 days and never left the city!!!...UPS offered no help to expedite the documents inspite of my pleas for help and were in fact quite rude. So a week later I sit with my papers...and have emailed Rita to cancel out interview and we start again. Federal Express or the United States Postal service which uses Federal Express...This is too important to give your life to people who do not care...Now we will probably miss spending Easter together.

You can complain to their corporate office and I am sure you would get some answer from them for it.

I presume you mean you re-scheduled the interview not "canceled"

Not to be controversial, but it may seem that way, the problem is not UPS. Problems happen with international shipping. Were I just being a smart@ss I would tell you that I hand delivered our paperwork myself (I did) but I understand most people don;t do that.

I will say that for everything but the I-134 our interview paperwork was complete before we filed the petition. The problem is that the package should have been sent to her a month or more before the NOA2 was received. Police certificates are good for 1 year at any consulate no matter what eles they say on them. In fact, the instructions say not to make the interview date until ALL paperwork is on hand.

You rode the edge and fell off. It is not UPS's fault. YOU (and other members) need to handle this in a way that prevents other people from messing things up.

Reschedule the interview and keep this in mind because the visa is just the beginning, not the end, of the process. You have a LOT more of dealing with the government to do.

If anything bad happens anywhere in this process, it is YOUR problem. NO ONE is going to make a special considerations for you because you are in love. Avoid problems by planning and preparing
