I was thinking the same thing Amber, so much good news all at once!!!! Yay!!! And what a pleasant surprise before my trip   I had no idea it could be completed so quickly, I was in shock and had to call again to make sure I put in the right case number lol

So what now, they will send a packet to my husband with everything he needs for the interview and schedule a date?

I am all packed, BUT everything isn't fitting in my suitcase so I have to transfer it to a larger one..... I wanted to travel light because I have an overnight stay on the way back and I'll have to get my luggage. But I can't find anything that I can take out and leave behind, so I'm graduating to a larger suitcase :P

So awesome about your consulate  , I hope you all get interview dates ASAP

Thank you so much Amber :D :D

 As soon as I read about your "luggage situation" I started laughing  OMG I go thru the same problem everytime and have to pay overweight baggage and I always end up having to leave some stuff with Ahmed for the return trip to the states... Everytime I get ready to go back Ahmed says hey baby leave the stones at home  and he gently reminds me I have clothes and other items there with him already and I always say " yes but baby those clothes are for last season!" :P , and between Ahmed and our doorman getting my luggage into our flat is always a strain! Ha! So I feel your pain my dear, but hey a woman needs many things for a stay with her hubby, right? So I try not to pack lighter but to convince Ahmed " yes. yes, yes I really do need all this!" Always so interesting to see Ahmed with the same amount of clothes as I have at home and to hear him say " baby I went shopping today and found some items at a very good price", and I say "huh well look at what we have here! You got a clothes fettish just like your wifey!" Then but of course he stops mid sentence and changes the subject! Men! Geesh! :P

Enjoy your trip my dear!!! (F)

p.s. go for the larger luggage upgrade, after all a woman has got to do what a woman has got to do!:whistle:

sure of what?

the existence of TWO MORE QUEUES?

or to be sure what I've written is the truth?

Sorry, there's 2 more queues after 'case complete'.

Once upon a time, 'final review' occured within a day of 'case complete', so it seemed a negligible(sp?) step. That's not the case anymore - the queue is huge.

Scheduling queue is it's own beast, if your 'country' participates in NVC Scheduling.

LOL....you're so funny Amber  Yeah my husband was trying to tell me tonight "in so many words, without really telling me lol" to pack light and leave some room in case I see some things I want to buy there, I will need the room. I always pack way more than I need, wherever I go, because I would rather have too much than too little, you know? :innocent:

I don't want to leave anything with him because I'm hoping soon he will have the task of what to pack and what to leave behind on his voyage HERE :D

At least you both have something in common  and how fun that will be to go clothes shopping together :D

Well tomorrow I will have the task of transferring everything, I also have a couple more things on my list to do before I go, and by tomorrow night I will be packed and ready.....Yay!

NVC received our documents on March 17, and I've been waiting for an email saying that they've been logged into their system. I called once and the woman I spoke to said it could take some time for that to happen. I called the AVR last week and the last thing it had was that they had issued us a case number. I just decided to call for the heck of it and it said our case was complete!!!  Is it possible, that quickly, with the CR1 visa? I thought it took a month or two. I hope it's not a mistake. Has anyone ever had their case completed in a little over a week?

They said to expect to receive some information (or something like that, I was in shock lol) in the next 8 weeks...if not, to call.

Does that sound right to anyone?

Thanks! :D

Yes.

Congratulations!!!

She said it could possibly be in May but there is no guarantee, they have to schedule accordingly to whatever Casablanca gives them.

So...next stop, Casablanca. Woohoo!!

LOL....yes you did tell me so :P I just have to learn things for myself, bad habit

I have the suitcase sitting next to me, I made it that far. I'll will be taking breaks periodically today from work to finish packing...then a few short errands today, hair appointment tonight, and I'm off in the morning. I have one loooooong itinerary though, because I thought my daughter was going to meet me there the second week so I booked a flight that had us flying together on the way home with an overnight stay. That was hard, since we didn't have the same day or itinerary on the way there. But, she cancelled her reservation so I'm stuck with this super long flight whereas before I would've just flown from L.A. to NY, to Casablanca. ...oh well, I guess I'll get a lot of reading time in :) and sleeping......;)

Thank you:))
