They probably are

Are people mentioning their big #$%$# also known to overcompensate? :P

Genetics happens to be rather close to my field of expertise, so no need to feel inferior

If we spoke about guns, I'd be the dummy!

They say people who talk about their big guns are overcompensating.

:P

No, behavior is not all learned.

Some of behavior is learned, some has genetic background, some is a result of disease, sometimes a genetically inheritable disease.

Hard work, in particular, is likelier to be a result of environment than anything else.

As exception, some people may be genetically inclined to sleep more and have less energy. Does it make them lazy or less hard working? One might argue that since work is harder for them, they are actually "working harder", just achieving less than someone average due to their handicap.

Nature nurtures nature. Societies are not just man-made concepts, they are genetically driven behaviors. Examples abound in the animal kingdom.

It's only gibberish because you didn't comprehend.

Gibberish is hard to comprehend for even the best of us.

Societies are behaviors?

I thought we were talking about behavior of individuals?

Education helps to decipher what you conclude as gibberish. You seem to believe that lazy is an inheritable trait. Lazy is meaningless in terms of genetics because it's not a behaviour. Being lazy is a qualification humans apply to certain behavours that is all.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Indeed, voluntary activity (such as daily exercise) and laziness are

highly heritable traits that can be passed down genetically to successive

generations, according to biologists at the University of California.

Laziness is pejorative qualification. Inactivity is not universally a bad thing. Activity and inactivity are both behaviors that can achieve positive outcomes depending on circumstance. Laziness is a qualification of inactivity that is not inherent to it.

So, gayness being a man-made (excuse the pun) construct is a learned behavior, not a genetic inclination?

How is sexual attraction to the same sex a man-made construction? How did you reach such a conclusion?

Not necessarily.

Gayness can be learned (think Spartan boys that were forced into gay relationships and then forced other boys when they grew up and had a choice) or genetic... and among animals, there are gays, too.

So, if that holds for gayness, why not for a general lack of motivation and accomplishment among certain population groups?
