Look at my, and other recent Brits going through London, timelines to give you an idea.

You know about calling NVC till you get a London case number, and then calling DOS to track your case, right?

See my timeline below... we just went through London.

I'm not sure if I understand correctly, but I wouldn't try to time your sending back of packet three before it's actually logged by them..

We had our NOA2 in early January, but stalled a little as I had already booked a 3 week trip to NY for February. If you can have everything ready for your packet 3 now - get that police certificate application made because you'll need it for your medical - then the interview will come fairly quickly.

FYI, they are ok with scanned copies of paystubs, but will need the original of the i-134 signed by the USC.

I totally understand the desire to get this process completed ASAP as does everyone on here, the whole immigration process really does contradict with the hope of having a big, expensive, well planned wedding too!

Start of relationship

??/07/2008 - A random Skype message came through to me from an American girl

14/02/2009 - After months of talking, the American girl flew over to me - I knew we were meant to be

18/08/2009 - I proposed to her on Brighton Beach, UK

K1 Journey

15/07/2010 - We finally put in the i129f application - after shortly considering me going there on VWP, marrying and trying to Adjust Status, but was too risky

03/01/2011 - NOA2 on the day Dawn returned to NY after spending Christmas with me

10/02/2011 - I visited NY for 3 weeks (let this hold up the K1 process)

28/02/2011 - Medical

29/03/2011 - K1 Interview at London Embassy - Visa granted!

01/04/2011 - Visa in hand

Next Stage

03/05/2011 - POE in JFK - can't wait!

04/06/2011 - Our Wedding Day :)

I'm in a similar situation. Currently still waiting for the embassy to log in my application from NVC, so that I can send my packet 3 docs. According to the DHL tracking trick, I know they received it last Thursday however it has been nearly a week and they haven't logged it in...yet. Fingers crossed they do this extremely soon for us all!
