I-134: Income Question

A friend of mine who refuses to join VJ wanted to know how to put his income on the I-134 for Item # 7. He makes $15.50/h for 40 hours a week full-time which equates to $32,240 per year. He works and gets paid over-time so his annual earnings differed for 2009 and 2010. Should he put his regular annual $32,240 or what he last made in 2010 as shown on the Tax Transcript?

He will put the 2010 wages from line 22 of tax return, there not interested in 2009. You will have to show 3 years of income taxes when you apply for AOS(I-864)

I would put the 32,240. That's the "constant" and would likely be what an employer would confirm (rate @40 hours per week). The recent paystubs would show at least 40 hours per week. IMO, a CO would see that as a solid income number.
